Aaron Pratt is a member of the firm's Business Services Group. He represents businesses, hedge funds, investors and Indian tribes in a wide range of corporate, partnership and commercial matters, including mergers and acquisitions, corporate finance and securities matters, private placements, venture capital financings (representing both investors and targets), hedge fund structure and compliance matters and Tribal economic development matters.
Recent representations include:
Hedge fund manager in connection with the formation of a Hedge fund, including drafting of all subscription and offering documents;
Maine college in connection with the refinancing of all of its tax exempt and taxable debt
Tribal nation gaming operator in connection with the negotiation and execution of an internet gaming contract with an internet gaming technology provider;
Information technology company located in Maine in connection with the sale of such company to a publicly traded British company;
Investor in connection with its investment in a privately held financial services company; and
Tribal nation in connection with the financing and construction of its casino and related hotel project.
In addition, Aaron serves as general counsel to the largest media company in the State of Maine, a hedge fund, a telecommunications company, multiple information technology companies and a winery.
