Abraham C. Banks, Esquire, is a Law Partner and Owner of Ayres Cluster Law Firm. Called “Abe” by his clients, friends, and family, he handles cases involving tragic injuries and death caused by the negligence of others. Abe joined the Firm on March 1, 2006 and has assisted countless individuals and families with their personal injury and wrongful death cases.
Abe attended undergraduate studies at the United States Coast Guard Academy in New London, CT. In 1998, he graduated first in his class on the military precedence list and with academic high honors. While at the Academy in his senior year, Abe was selected to serve as top ranking cadet called the “Regimental Commander.” He also completed an internship in the U.S. Senate, spent a semester at the U.S. Military Academy as an “exchange cadet” and earned a 4.0 G.P.A., and was a four-year letter winner in Track & Field.
After graduation from the Academy, Abe served as a commissioned officer in the U.S. Coast Guard for five years and obtained the rank of Lieutenant, O-3. He served as a instructor at the U.S. Coast Guard Academy, deck watch officer on a Coast Guard Cutter, and for the Atlantic Area Commander. He earned a Coast Guard Commendation Medal for his service and was honorably discharged in 2003. While in the Coast Guard, Abe attended night classes at Old Dominion University and obtained a master’s degree in public administration with a 3.92 GPA.
In July 2003, Abe was accepted to the University of Florida, Levin College of Law and began his legal studies. Abe graduated early from law school by attending summer classes. He achieved the distinction of graduating cum laude or “with honors.” While in law school, Abe honed his legal skills by working as an intern for Fifth Judicial Circuit in Marion County, Florida. Despite numerous job offers at prominent law firms throughout the State of Florida, Abe selected employment with Ayres Cluster Law Firm. Abe passed the Florida Bar Examination on the first attempt and was sworn-in as a member of the Florida Bar on April 19, 2006. Abe has also been sworn as a bar member of the United States District Court, Middle District and the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit.
Abe currently serves as the President of the Marion County Bar Association and is a member of Business Networking International. Abe attends Our Lady of the Springs Catholic Church in Ocala and enjoys golf, classic cars, and NASCAR. Abe is married, has a young daughter, and a dog.
