ALAN M. GREEN is a counsel in the firm’s Securities & Derivatives Enforcement and Regulatory practice. Al has over 30 years of experience, most recently as Associate General Counsel for General Electric’s Corporate Treasury and Global Funding Operation. In this role, his practice focused on registered term debt programs, hybrid debt, preferred stock, commercial paper, derivatives, structured finance and special purpose entities, liquidity arrangements, guarantees, letters of credit, cross border funding, corporate governance and related regulatory and securities law compliance issues.

While at GE, Al was instrumental in establishing GE Capital’s derivatives hub in Ireland, was counsel on the aircraft industry’s first Sukuk financing, frequently handled Volcker Rule compliance issues, and advised on acquisitions and divestitures.

Al also served as bond counsel and underwriters counsel on multiple municipal bond transactions, including healthcare, industrial finance, and general obligations. As Senior Counsel for Financial Guaranty Insurance Company, he advised on insurance of municipal debt securities, reinsurance and liquidity facilities, and assisted in establishing a capital markets group.
