Mr. Kirschenbaum has been in private practice since 1990 representing pharmaceutical and medical device companies in matters relating to the Food and Drug Administration and other areas of health care law. His practice focuses on drug and device promotion, marketing, contracting, and pricing, as these activities are affected by FDA restrictions on promotion, health care fraud and abuse laws, and government discount and price reporting requirements. He has authored articles and given frequent lectures on legal issues relating to pharmaceutical and medical device promotion and marketing activities. He is a member of the D.C. Bar Health Law Section and former member of that Section's Steering Committee, and also a member of the American Health Lawyers Association.
Mr. Kirschenbaum received his undergraduate degree cum laude from the University of Pennsylvania in 1970 and his law degree cum laude from Harvard Law School in 1986. He served as a law clerk for Judge Theodore R. Newman of the District of Columbia Court of Appeals from 1986 through 1987. He is admitted to practice in the District of Columbia and Maryland.
