Albert Stemp’s practice encompasses a broad range of real estate transactional matters. He represents private equity funds, borrowers, lenders, developers, hospitality companies, retail operators and REITs, among others, in transactions across all real estate asset classes.

Al regularly advises clients in connection with significant mortgage, mezzanine and construction financings (including balance sheet, syndicated, and securitized loans), participations, co-lender and intercreditor relationships, real estate development projects, partnerships and joint ventures, distressed debt workouts, acquisitions and dispositions, and leasing matters. He has significant experience counseling private equity and REIT clients in connection with all types of debt and equity investments in real estate.

Prior to joining Hogan Lovells, Al was counsel in the Los Angeles office of a leading New York-based law firm. Immediately following law school, he was an associate in the Los Angeles office of a major Chicago-based law firm.
