Albert H. Turkus joined Skadden, Arps in 1994 as a member of the Litigation Group in the Washington, D.C. office and now serves as one of the leaders of the firm’s national tax litigation practice.
During the past 20 years, Mr. Turkus has served as lead counsel in a wide variety of complex civil cases, including a number of high-profile tax matters. In addition, he has handled complex civil cases in both federal and state trial and appellate courts throughout the country, including shareholder actions, contract disputes, fraud actions and related claims. Some of these civil matters involve disputes between private parties concerning taxation matters, including proceedings involving the interpretation and enforcement of tax sharing agreements.
