Ms. Cotton represents a broad range of clients in civil litigation matters in California, including premise owners, manufacturers and suppliers of a wide variety of products. Ms. Cotton’s experience encompasses all aspects of litigation, including drafting and arguing motions, taking and defending depositions, preparing witnesses, handling evidentiary hearings, alternative dispute resolution, and participating in trials.

Ms. Cotton has handled hundreds of complex commercial civil litigation actions from inception to trial. She has a proven track record of successfully defending corporations in California and various federal courts in high value litigation. Ms. Cotton assisted lead trial counsel on six consecutive trials between April and October 2014. She recently obtained a favorable ruling on a motion to compel a DNA sample for limited genetic testing concerning a novel issue of duty and foreseeability on behalf of a Fortune 500 manufacturing client in a complex commercial civil litigation case after three rounds of briefing over a six-month period.
