Alexander Cox is an associate in the Washington D.C. office of Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher, where he currently practices in the firm’s Litigation Department.
Mr. Cox joined the firm in 2012, after serving as a law clerk to the Honorable Steven M. Colloton of the United States Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit. He received his Juris Doctor from the University of Virginia School of Law in 2011. While at Virginia, Mr. Cox was elected to the Order of the Coif, and served as submissions editor of the Journal of Law & Politics and as President of the University of Virginia Federalist Society. In 2012 he was named to Forbes magazine’s nationwide list of “30 Under 30” in law and policy. Mr. Cox graduated cum laude from the George Washington University in 2007 with a B.A. in Political Science.
