Alex Barnett is an associate in the Labor & Employment Group. Her litigation experience includes defending employers against a range of claims, including those of gender, race, age and disability discrimination under Title VII, the ADEA and the ADA, as well as various claims based on common law tort and contract theories.
Ms. Barnett received her J.D. from the University of Virginia School of Law in 2010 where she was on the editorial board of the Journal of Law and Politics. Prior to law school, she earned her undergraduate degree, magna cum laude, with high honors in Romance Languages from Dartmouth College in 2007. Upon graduation, Ms. Barnett was the recipient of the Phillip D. McInnis '36 Award which is presented annually to the woman in the senior class who contributed most significantly to the College through her depth of integrity and character, capacity for leadership, academic achievement, and commitment to the life of the community.
