Natively bilingual (Spanish and English) and dual qualified (New York and Mexico), Alexandro advises various financial institutions and sponsors in the area of infrastructure projects as they relate to the electricity (both conventional and renewable), oil and gas and mining sectors, with a particular emphasis in Mexico and Latin America. Prior to joining the firm, he advised Mexican state-owned enterprises, specifically within the framework of bidding processes, including the negotiation and drafting of the first set of 10 Independent Power Producer (IPP) projects in Mexico. Mr. Padrés has also been involved in intellectual property matters governed by US and Mexican law and corporate governance and environmental issues governed by Mexican law.
