Alisa Babitz

Alisa Babitz is of counsel in Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher's Washington, D.C. office. She is a member of the firm’s Corporate Transactions Practice Group, focusing on securities law and mergers and acquisitions. She advises public and private companies on a wide range of general corporate, securities and M&A matters including: acquisitions, dispositions and other business combinations; strategic alliances and joint ventures; public offerings and private placements of equity and debt securities; and venture capital investments.

Ms. Babitz has co-authored several articles on various corporate and securities law topics, as well as the “Securities Law Issues” chapter of The M&A Practice Guide, LexisNexis and chapters in Partnership, Joint Ventures & Strategic Relationships, Law Journal Seminars-Press.

Ms. Babitz earned her law degree, cum laude, in 1993 from Harvard Law School. She received a bachelor of arts degree, magna cum laude, in history from Columbia University in 1990. She is admitted to practice in the State of New York and the District of Columbia.

Watson Wyatt in its $3.5 billion merger of equals with Towers Perrin, which resulted in the formation of Towers Watson (NYSE / NASDAQ: TW)
Neustar, Inc. (NYSE: NSR) in its acquisition of several private companies and its acquisition of the Numbering Solutions business from Evolving Systems (NASDAQ: EVOL)
