Alisa Babitz is of counsel in Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher's Washington, D.C. office. She is a member of the firm’s Corporate Transactions Practice Group, focusing on securities law and mergers and acquisitions. She advises public and private companies on a wide range of general corporate, securities and M&A matters including: acquisitions, dispositions and other business combinations; strategic alliances and joint ventures; public offerings and private placements of equity and debt securities; and venture capital investments.
Ms. Babitz has co-authored several articles on various corporate and securities law topics, as well as the “Securities Law Issues” chapter of The M&A Practice Guide, LexisNexis and chapters in Partnership, Joint Ventures & Strategic Relationships, Law Journal Seminars-Press.
Ms. Babitz earned her law degree, cum laude, in 1993 from Harvard Law School. She received a bachelor of arts degree, magna cum laude, in history from Columbia University in 1990. She is admitted to practice in the State of New York and the District of Columbia.
