Allison E. McCarthy is a partner in Holland & Knight's Fort Lauderdale office. She practices in the areas of commercial real estate and commercial lending. She represents clients in real estate development, sales and acquisitions, leasing, and financing transactions. She has developed a specialized practice in representing owners, lenders, developers, operators and hotel companies in connection with the acquisition, ground lease, financing, development, construction, operation, leasing, and disposition of hotels and resorts and mixed-use projects with a hospitality component. She also advises her clients with respect to the structuring of joint venture arrangements for the development and operation of commercial and residential projects.

She has substantial experience in assisting lenders with the resolution of issues arising from troubled hotel and resort and other commercial property assets, including loan modifications, deeds-in-lieu and loan sales. She also has substantial experience in assisting investors with loan acquisitions.

She is a graduate of the Rising Star Program, an intensive year-long leadership program sponsored by Holland & Knight's Women's Initiative program.
