Amanda J. Hollis

Amanda Hollis

is a partner in Kirkland’s Chicago office and concentrates her practice on patent litigation. She has significant experience litigating patent matters for a wide variety of clients in federal courts across the country and in the United States International Trade Commission. She also has recent experience litigating before the United States Patent and Trademark Office’s Patent Trial and Appeal Board (PTAB). She has applied her training to manage all aspects of patent litigation cases from inception through trial. Amanda’s cases have involved a broad range of technologies and subject matters, including pharmaceutical and nutraceutical compositions, animal health products, vaccines, medical devices, chemical compositions for oxygen scavenging, electronically-controlled fuel systems, molten metal pumps, data compression, wireless messaging, flash memory chips, computer networking business methods, and a variety of standardized technologies including IEEE 802.11 (Wi-Fi) standards. Amanda has first chair trial experience and has participated in multiple intellectual property trials and hearings. From 2010-2011 and 2013-2014, Amanda was named an “Illinois Rising Star” by Super Lawyers magazine, a distinction reserved for the top 2.5% of Illinois lawyers who are under 40 or in practice for 10 years or less.

Amanda leads the Chicago office’s Domestic Violence pro bono program and is an active member of the Firm’s Women’s Leadership Initiative Planning Committee.
