Andrew is a partner in Reed Smith's Insurance Recovery Group. His practice has focused on representing policyholders in disputes and litigation over coverage for product liability and toxic tort claims under primary, umbrella and excess liability insurance policies. In that context, he has represented several product manufacturers and sellers in cases pending in various courts, and in proceedings against a variety of domestic and international insurance carriers. Additionally, Andrew has represented and counseled policyholder clients in a number of other types of insurance-related disputes, including those involving employee fidelity coverage, directors' and officers' liability coverage, and export credit insurance coverage.

Andrew also has experience in complex commercial litigation. He has represented clients in a variety of cases involving, among other things, contract disputes and personal injury claims. He also has been actively engaged in negotiating, drafting and litigating various bankruptcy law and non-bankruptcy law issues in several complex bankruptcy cases, including In re North American Refractories Co., et al., No. 02-20198 (Bankr. W.D. Pa.); In re Global Industrial Technologies, Inc., et al., No. 02-21626 (Bankr. W.D. Pa.); In re W.R. Grace & Co., et al., No. 01-01149 (Bankr. D. Del.) (as counsel to the debtors); and In re ASARCO, LLC, et al., No. 05-21207 (Bankr. S.D. Tex.) (as counsel to the Official Committee of Unsecured Creditors of ASARCO, LLC).
