Andrew L. Hurst is a partner and litigation attorney with Foley & Lardner LLP. His practice focuses on representing corporations and individuals in civil fraud investigations and litigation, primarily life sciences companies, health care providers and other government contractors being sued by the government or qui tam relators under the civil False Claims Act.

Mr. Hurst also regularly represents corporations and individuals in connection with criminal investigations and prosecutions by the U.S. Department of Justice and other federal and state entities. He has represented defendants and targets in a number of subject areas, including Medicare and Medicaid fraud, campaign finance, economic espionage, computer crimes and Independent Counsel investigations. Mr. Hurst's experience has reached all levels of criminal practice and procedure, including pre-indictment negotiation, pretrial and post-trial motions practice, trial, and sentencing negotiation and litigation under the Federal Sentencing Guidelines.

In addition, Mr. Hurst serves as outside general counsel for several small and mid-size emerging corporations. He provides general legal advice with a focus on facilitating his clients’ business growth.
