Andrew Amer is a litigation Partner with the Firm of Simpson Thacher & Bartlett LLP. He represents clients in a wide range of commercial litigation with particular emphasis in the areas of insurance, reinsurance, international arbitration, bankruptcy, products liability and law firm defense. He received his undergraduate degree in biomedical engineering from Cornell University and his law degree from the University of Pennsylvania, where he was an editor of the Law Review.

Andy’s litigation experience draws heavily upon his engineering background; he frequently represents clients in disputes that are principally dependent on technical knowledge in the fields of science and technology such as those involving radiation exposure, medical devices, prescription drugs, asbestos and environmental pollution.
