Khoa Tran is an associate who focuses his practice on complex litigation matters.
Prior to joining WilmerHale, Mr. Tran was a law clerk for a firm in Houston, Texas, where he researched federal and state habeas corpus laws for actual innocence and ineffectiveness of counsel claims for three death penalty cases. He also prepared exhibits and edited successor petitions, researched jurisdictional and procedural issues and helped prepare original writ of habeas corpus to the United States Supreme Court. In addition, he researched and wrote memoranda on a variety of other federal and state law issues.
In 2009, Mr. Tran was a legislative intern for Senator John F. Kerry and a legal intern with a Texas-based corporate and litigation firm. Previously, he was a SAT/AP test instructor with Edumost in Seoul, South Korea and a business analyst with Chevron Corporation in Houston, Texas.
