Anita Vasudevan is an associate in the Emerging Companies and Securities Regulation practice groups and a member of the Cooley Business department. Ms. Vasudevan joined the Firm in 2008 and is resident in the Palo Alto office.

Ms. Vasudevan works with a broad base of technology clients in the application and infrastructure software, networking and consumer internet businesses as well as clean technology companies. Ms. Vasudevan has substantial experience in a variety of corporate transactions, including venture capital financings, mergers and acquisitions and public offerings. Her practice also includes general business advising, including with respect to corporate securities, SEC reporting, commercial agreements, and corporate governance matters. She represents both private and public companies as well as venture capital and corporate investors in financing transactions.

Ms. Vasudevan represents a number of companies with extensive operations in India as well as venture capital and corporate investors in their investments in Indian companies. She was a contributing author to The First Mile, Essentials of Entrepreneurship, published by TiE.

Prior to joining Cooley, Ms. Vasudevan was an attorney at Heller Ehrman and Venture Law Group.

Ms. Vasudevan received a JD degree in 1997 from the University of California, Berkeley, Boalt Hall School of Law, and a BA degree in Economics and Sociology from the University of California, Berkeley in 1993.

Ms. Vasudevan is a member of the State Bar of California.
