Ann Springgate is Special Counsel in Buchalter’s Corporate and Energy and Natural Resources Practice Groups. Ms. Springgate’s practice focuses on transactional finance, policy development, and regulatory compliance. Ms. Springgate advises clients on contract and transactional matters relating to energy, including drafting and negotiating power purchase agreements and advising on shared facility arrangements and the solicitation process. She also advises energy-industry clients on regulatory matters, such as greenhouse gas compliance and renewables portfolio standard and Dodd-Frank Act requirements.

Prior to joining Buchalter, Ms. Springgate represented clients at AmLaw 100 Firms, the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, and the Judicial Council of California. She has advised public and private entities on a wide variety of contracts and financial transactions, including public-private partnerships, asset-based and project financings, stock and asset purchases, mergers and acquisitions, and secured and unsecured credit facilities. Ms. Springgate received the FEMA Office of General Counsel Award for Excellence and several Judicial Council Legal Division quarterly awards.
