Anthony M. Insogna

Anthony Insogna has more than 20 years of intellectual property experience with patent litigation, patent interferences, European oppositions, Chinese and other invalidation proceedings, patent portfolio creation, strategic counseling, technology transactions, and due diligence. He has prosecuted and enforced patents in the United States and coordinated prosecution and enforcement worldwide for some of the most successful therapeutics developed by pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and medical device companies. Anthony has significant experience with the patent and FDA laws under the Hatch-Waxman Act, and he regularly advises on IP issues attendant to M&A, partnerships, collaborations, and financing for life sciences companies.

Representative clients include Acadia Pharmaceuticals, Ambit Biosciences, AstraZeneca, Boehringer Ingelheim, Celgene, Idenix Pharmaceuticals, Isis Pharmaceuticals, MedImmune, Mitsui Global Investments, PTC Therapeutics, Puma Biotechnology, Scynexis, Sunesis Pharmaceuticals, Sunovion and Transcept Pharmaceuticals, as well as investment banks and private equity firms. Anthony's experience includes patent portfolio strategy, litigation, oppositions, interferences, invalidation proceedings, and transactions for products including Abraxane®, Allegra®, Brovana®, Clarinex®, Clofar®, Embospheres®, Ethyol®, Focalin®, Focalin XR®, HepaSpheres®, Lunesta®, Pristiq®, Relafen®, Revlimid®, Rezield™, Ritalin LA®, Synagis®, Thalomid®, Tyzeka®, Vidaza®, Zytiga®, and others as well as many product candidates currently in clinical trials.
