Art has defended and prosecuted cases involving commercial contracts, business disputes, business torts, partnership, computer software/technology, bank lending, intellectual property, fraud, zoning/land use, sports/marketing, construction, condemnation, wrongful death, defamation, legal malpractice, employment, public utilities, taxation, constitutional law/civil rights, school law, and trusts and estates.

Art is admitted to practice before the Supreme Court of the United States, the Supreme Court of Virginia, the US District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia, the US District Court for the Western District of Virginia and the US Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit.
