Austin D. Thacker is an attorney in Holland & Knight's Orlando office. Mr. Thacker practices in the area of construction litigation and focuses on serving clients in the construction industry. Prior to joining Holland & Knight, Mr. Thacker clerked at the United States Department of Justice, Office of the U.S. Trustee, where he worked on U.S. Bankruptcy Court cases and trials. He also interned and served as a student attorney at the Knox County District Attorney's Office in Knoxville, Tennessee, for two years. In addition to this experience, he has a background in banking, finance and insurance from prior roles at leading financial institutions.

During law school, Mr. Thacker represented underserved clients in trials while at the University of Tennessee Legal Clinic. As a student attorney at the clinic, he counseled clients in landlord/tenant, criminal and juvenile cases as well as assisted in the discovery process and trial proceedings.

In addition to his legal practice, Mr. Thacker is active in volunteering for local organizations such as Habitat for Humanity, Junior Achievement and the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. He also currently serves as a guardian ad litem for the Legal Aid Society of the Orange County Bar Association.
