Summer Chandler, partner with McCalla Raymer LLC in Panama City, Florida, focuses her practice on bankruptcy, workouts debtor/creditor law and general commercial litigation. Chandler has experience representing creditors, landlords, debtors, trustees, buyers of assets and other parties. She has an interest in corporate reorganization proceedings and corporate liquidation proceedings. She played a key role in developing the firm’s Municipal Reform & Innovation practice and advises financially distressed municipalities and other interested constituencies on issues related to municipal out-of-court restructurings and Chapter 9 bankruptcy.
Most recently, Chandler serves as counsel to the governor-appointed receiver for Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. Chandler also represents clients before state and federal courts in a variety of commercial litigation actions, including business torts, contract disputes and receivership actions. She has experience with various real estate transactions, including commercial lending secured by real estate, commercial leasing, and acquisitions and sales of commercial properties.
Chandler serves on the board of directors for the Georgia Asylum and Immigration Network (GAIN), an organization that provides pro bono legal representation through volunteer attorneys to asylum seekers, immigrant victims of human trafficking, domestic violence, sexual assault and other crimes. In 2013, she was named the McKenna Long & Aldridge Pro Bono Partner of the Year and received the GAIN Partner of the Year award.
