Barry Simon's practice includes all aspects of employment and labor law. Mr. Simon has represented hospitals, transportation companies, commercial, educational and industrial organizations, executives, managers, and employees. Upon graduation from law school, Mr. Simon served a judicial clerkship in the Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas. His clerkship was followed by several years of military service as a Lieutenant in the Judge Advocate General’s Corps of the United States Navy. Mr. Simon graduated With Honors from the United States Navy Military Justice School and served on active duty with the Amphibious Force of the Atlantic Fleet located in Little Creek, Virginia. After completing active duty, Mr. Simon returned to Philadelphia to practice law in the private sector. He joined a large Philadelphia law firm where he became a partner and served for several years as the chairman of its labor and employment law department and chairman of its pro bono committee. Mr. Simon started his own law firm in the mid-1990s and that firm merged with and became the Philadelphia office of a national labor and employment firm exclusively representing management. He started his own law firm again in 2011 in order to expand the scope of his practice by providing mediation services and representing executives, managers and employees as well as management.
