Becky A. Williams focuses her practice primarily on assisting clients with the clearance, registration, enforcement and protection of trademarks, copyrights and domain names. She is involved in all aspects of intellectual property portfolio management. Her practice includes counseling clients on the availability and registration of trademarks and service marks, and regularly prosecuting trademark registration applications before the US Patent and Trademark Office. Becky also coordinates the acquisition and maintenance of foreign trademark registrations in numerous jurisdictions.

Becky’s experience also includes drafting and negotiating contracts impacting and protecting clients’ intellectual property rights, including license agreements, services agreements, consulting agreements, assignments, releases and work made for hire agreements. In addition, she represents clients concerning software and technology licensing issues, including open source licensing.

Further, Becky regularly drafts website terms of use and privacy policies, and has frequently dealt with issues concerning the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA). Becky is also involved in all intellectual property aspects of due diligence in regards to mergers, acquisitions and other corporate transactional matters.
