Brian K. Parker

Brian is the managing partner of the firm's Pittsburgh office and the head of the Pittsburgh products group. He is a former member of the Board of Partners and was one of the lead lawyers in launching and building the firm’s life sciences industry group.

Brian’s practice focuses on defending innovative and generic pharmaceutical companies in safety and efficacy litigation involving prescription and over-the-counter drugs. He has led defense teams for both domestic and foreign pharmaceutical manufacturers in individual and multi-district litigation relating to single-cell and biological compounds. He also regularly advises CEOs, general counsel, and boards of directors of pharmaceutical and medical device companies on compliance, regulatory, intellectual property, and corporate M&A issues.

He has also handled a variety of matters for regional and national firm clients involving industrial equipment, commercial contracts, and environmental and intellectual property issues.

Active in a range of local and national institutions, Brian currently serves on the Pension Subcommittee for the Institute of Politics, is a member of the National Association of Corporate Directors and is on the board of the Forbes Fund. He has served on the board of the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra and as Vice Chairman for the Board of Commissioners of the City of Pittsburgh Housing Authority.
