Brian Mulry is a partner in the San Francisco office of Gordon & Rees. His practice concentrates on land use, environmental law, state and local government law, solar and cell tower lease agreement negotiations, civil litigation, employment law, and business litigation.

His land use work includes the processing of land use projects, environmental review processing, builder permitting issues, citizen group representation, private land use and real property disputes, solar and cell tower leasing and transactions, and state and local government law.

Mulry also works in civil litigation, representing business clients in employment law, real estate and business litigation, as well as in trademark and copyright law matters. Mulry also serves as outside counsel for the Agricultural-Natural Resources Trust of Contra Costa County, representing the Trust on all legal matters.

Mulry has been active in several organizations focusing on land use, environmental law, and state and local government law. He wrote summaries for the American Planning Association's Journal, Planning and Environmental Law; co-authored an article for the newsletter of the American Bar Association, State and Local Government Section; and joined the World Jurist Association (WJA), traveling to Beijing and Shanghai to participate in the organization's 2005 “World Peace Through Law” conference. He also has contributed to law review articles and a treatise on land use law.

In law school, he served as the articles editor of the Vermont Journal of Environmental Law, and spearheaded a law review volume and symposium exploring the difficult land use issues involved in big-box development.

Mulry served as a guest lecturer at John F. Kennedy School of Law, teaching a course on civil litigation practice and expert witness disclosure.
