Brian P. Hanafin is a corporate attorney in Holland & Knight's Orlando office. He represents businesses and individuals in a broad range of corporate transactions, including acquisitions, mergers and reorganizations. Mr. Hanafin also assists clients with a variety of general corporation, partnership and limited liability company matters, including entity formation, corporate finance, drafting agreements among owners, corporate governance, and negotiating and drafting general commercial contracts.

In addition, Mr. Hanafin represents nonprofit entities with respect to tax and corporate issues, including obtaining tax exempt status from the Internal Revenue Service.

Mr. Hanafin also has significant experience in the areas of complex commercial and business litigation, and has represented businesses and individuals in matters involving corporate litigation, contract disputes, business torts, insurance coverage disputes and product liability.

Prior to joining Holland & Knight, Mr. Hanafin worked in Washington, D.C., as a legislative aide, first to Senator Tom Daschle and then to Senator Ted Kennedy.
