Brian is counsel for McGuireWoods LLP and is vice president for McGuireWoods Consulting’s Georgia State Government Relations group. He primarily assists clients with healthcare-related matters before the Georgia General Assembly and regulatory bodies.
Prior to joining McGuireWoods Consulting, Brian served as chief of the Division of Healthcare Facility Regulation for the Georgia Department of Community Health. He was responsible for all program functions within the division which included the licensing, inspection and certification of a variety of health care facilities, services and professionals for compliance with the Department's rules and the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services' Conditions of Participation.
Brian was also the in-house counsel for the Medical Association of Georgia from 2004 through 2011. In that capacity, he served as in-house legal counsel and represented the Association in state and federal courts, before the General Assembly and various regulatory agencies.
