Brien Wassner is a partner in Shearman & Sterling’s Mergers & Acquisitions Group. He represents private equity funds, pension funds, sovereign wealth funds, hedge funds and venture capital funds, as well as public and private corporations and financial institutions, in connection with their domestic and cross-border M&A transactions. In connection with transactions, he also advises on debt and equity financing, securities matters and other general corporate matters. Brien has extensive experience across a broad range of industries, including retail, TMT, financial services, energy, infrastructure and transportation, insurance and healthcare, and has managed transactions in the Americas, Europe, Asia and Africa.
