Bryan Bates focuses his practice on business bankruptcy, creditors' rights, and commercial litigation. Bryan represents secured and unsecured creditors, debtors, committees, trustees and other parties-in-interest in Chapter 11 reorganization proceedings, insolvency matters, and debtor/creditor litigation. Bryan also represents secured parties, banks and corporate clients in business disputes, commercial litigation, and collection matters in state and federal courts.

Bryan has been recognized by Super Lawyers as a 2013 and 2014 Georgia Rising Star in Bankruptcy & Creditor/Debtor Rights. Bryan was selected to participate in the Next Generation Program in connection with the 2013 National Conference of Bankruptcy Judges, and was recently recognized by the Georgia chapter of the Turnaround Management Association (TMA) for his outstanding turnaround work.

Most recently, Bryan served as counsel to the debtors in In re: The Cliffs Club & Hospitality Group, Inc., et al., Case No. 12-01220, in the United States Bankruptcy Court for the District of South Carolina, an engagement for which the firm received the Georgia TMA award for the Small Business Turnaround of the Year. Bryan continues to serve as counsel to the Liquidation Trustee appointed in connection with that matter.
