Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher LLP is pleased to announce that Bryan McGee has joined the firm as Of Counsel in the New York office. Previously with Simpson Thacher & Bartlett LLP in New York, McGee will continue his corporate practice representing private investment funds.
With 11 years of experience, he represents alternative asset managers in all aspects of their operations, including establishing new investment firms, shepherding complex investment funds through all stages of the private offering process, and providing ongoing regulatory and compliance advice. He also advises investment management firms on a wide range of general commercial transactions, including employment contracts, separation agreements, service contracts, license agreements, and loan documents, and he has experience with spin-outs and acquisitions of investment managers. His clients include all types of alternative asset managers, such as private wealth management firms, real estate investment firms, private equity firms, hedge funds, and other financiers.
He graduated in 2005 from Yale Law School, where he served as Editor-in-Chief of the Yale Journal of Law & Technology.
