Camarin Madigan focuses her practice on energy, land use, natural resources, environmental and real estate law. She advises developers, landowners and public agencies regarding energy, land use entitlements and acquisitions/dispositions for complex development projects.

Camarin represents clients with matters pending before the California Energy Commission, the California Coastal Commission, the Bureau of Land Management, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and various local agencies. She handles energy, regulatory and environmental permits, and she advises clients on matters related to the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA), the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA), the Warren-Alquist Act and the Subdivision Map Act. Camarin also drafts and negotiates development agreements, purchase and sale agreements, and settlement agreements.

In 2008 and 2009, Camarin lived in Japan while she was seconded to the in-house legal department of Mitsui & Co., Ltd., and the firm’s Tokyo office. While at Mitsui, she managed legal affairs of Mitsui and its subsidiaries in North, Central and South America in a variety of industries, including energy and natural resources, agricultural resources, and information technology. She now provides valuable insights into the business culture and negotiating style of Japanese companies.

Camarin externed with the Hon. Vaughn Walker in the United States District Court, Northern District of California, during the summer of 2001.
