Carmella L. Stephens

Carmella L. Stephens is Counsel in the firm's Business Law Department and a member of the Life Science Group, focusing on patent portfolio management. Carmella has over 20 years of experience counseling clients on issues relating to biotech and pharmaceutical patents. She joined Goodwin Procter in 2015.

Dr. Stephens has prepared and prosecuted patent applications as well as performed due diligence, patentability and freedom-to-operate analyses for pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, and life-sciences clients. Dr. Stephens also has experience in life-sciences related patent litigation.
