Carmen Manrara Cartaya practices in all areas of complex civil litigation, including employment, securities litigation, and breach of contract disputes. Carmen focuses a significant part of her practice in the area of international arbitration resolving disputes in both English and Spanish. Carmen has drafted and argued motions in state and federal court and tried and participated in arbitration disputes representing multinational entities.
Carmen has worked with the Miami Dade's Public Defender's office as a Special Assistant Public Defender, representing pro bono clients involved in misdemeanor proceedings. She is also a member of the Federal Bar Association.
Prior to entering private practice, Carmen clerked for The Honorable Chief Judge Federico A. Moreno, U.S. District Judge for the Southern District of Florida. During law school, Carmen was a member of The Journal of Technology Law and Policy.
