Carol serves as the Managing Partner for the firm's Northern Virginia Office. Carol is a member of the Real Estate Group, with a broad commercial real estate and business transactions practice. Carol represents lenders, investors and developers in real estate finance transactions of all types, including acquisition, development, construction, mezzanine and permanent financing, equity investments and in workouts and restructuring of nonperforming assets. Carol also has experience with bond financing, special tax districts and community development authorities. Carol represents clients involved in all segments of the real estate industry, including multifamily, office, medical office, retail, industrial, lodging and mixed use projects. Carol handles acquisitions and dispositions of land and improved properties, title and survey issues and development issues of all types. She also represents both landlords and tenants in lease negotiations, including office, retail and industrial lease matters. Carol has extensive experience negotiating ground leases and leasehold mortgages. Carol’s practice also includes entity structuring and formation for real estate projects. She also has significant experience with telecommunications leasing and sales. Carol also has extensive experience with aviation-related real estate matters.
