Cary Sullivan's practice focuses on commercial litigation, with an emphasis on complex litigation and class action defense. He has represented companies and individuals in consumer class actions, internal investigations, regulatory examinations, securities litigation, and other types of complex litigation in federal and state courts, in arbitration, and before governmental agencies across the country. He also advises clients on regulatory compliance and information management.

Cary has represented public and private companies involved in the financial, technology, pharmaceutical, spirits, real estate, manufacturing, and energy industries. He has advised boards in derivative litigation and internal investigations and has represented directors and officers in a variety of civil and criminal proceedings. Recently, Cary was one of the lead attorneys defending a spirits company in a six-week jury trial on a complex contract-related case. He also recently obtained the complete dismissal of a federal racketeering class action on behalf of a financial services company, and defeated certification of a nationwide consumer fraud class action filed in federal court in New York.
