Cassandra (“Cassie”) Writz concentrates her practice in the areas of corporate restructuring and bankruptcy, creditors’ rights and commercial litigation. She represents corporate and individual borrowers and secured creditors in commercial workouts and out-of-court restructurings, foreclosures and receivership proceedings. She has also represented corporate clients in a wide variety of commercial transactions, including real estate and asset sales, commercial lease and contract negotiations.

Ms. Writz represents several national banks and mortgage loan servicers in defense of residential and commercial wrongful foreclosure claims, and defense of statutory claims under the Truth in Lending Act, the Fair Credit Reporting Act, the Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act, the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, and various state consumer protection acts. Ms. Writz appears regularly in both state and federal courts, including bankruptcy court, and counsels national banks on their bankruptcy and residential foreclosure practices.
