Catherine Campbell has a diverse environmental law practice that focuses on the environmental due diligence undertaken to support corporate and real property transactions, as well as the development and structuring of emissions reduction projects under the Verified Carbon Standard and Kyoto Protocol's Clean Development Mechanism.
Catherine also negotiates the purchase of carbon credits to offset DLA Piper’s greenhouse gas emissions from air travel as part of the Global Sustainability Initiative. She advises clients on a wide range of regulatory compliance obligations under the Clean Air Act, CERCLA/EPCRA and other federal environmental statutes, and their state counterparts. Catherine is involved with environmental enforcement actions, permitting, and tracking and reporting on recent rulemaking and EPA policy interpretations. She also assists clients in responding to facility emergencies, including the coordination of reporting obligations and on-site internal investigations.
