Chad Davis is a partner in Goodwin Procter's Technology Companies & Life Sciences Group and a member of its Intellectual Property and Life Sciences Practices. Dr. Davis counsels companies, investors and leading academic institutions on intellectual property matters, especially patent matters. He has extensive experience in prosecution and strategic development of patent portfolios to procure patent protection in the United States and abroad, intellectual property due diligence, and risk assessment through, for example, patent validity and infringement analyses.
With his extensive background in chemistry, Dr. Davis has represented clients in a diverse range of technologies, such as pharmaceuticals, drug delivery technologies, crystal forms, organic dyes, chemical processes, polymers, proteins, stem cell technology, medical diagnostics, medical imaging, microfluidic devices, adhesives, analytical chemistry, foams, cosmetics and optical technologies.
