Chad Higgins is a counsel in the firm’s Litigation Department and a member of its Products Liability and Mass Torts Group. Mr. Higgins has over 10 years of experience in a broad range of practice areas, including complex litigation in products liability, mass and toxic torts, groundwater contamination, pharmaceutical investigations, wrongful death, premises liability and consumer financial services matters. His experience includes all areas of trial and trial preparation, including trial examination and cross-examination of expert and party witnesses, closing arguments, taking and defending expert, party and third-party depositions, drafting and responding to discovery, dispositive motions practice, and arguments at hearings and court proceedings.

Mr. Higgins has significant experience representing energy, pharmaceutical, consumer financial services and educational clients. Mr. Higgins has coordinated and directed the multi-jurisdictional litigation defense for numerous energy clients in the MTBE litigation, involving both federal and state court matters. He also has advised clients regarding state environmental regulatory schemes and litigation in multiple jurisdictions. In addition, Mr. Higgins has defended an elite university in wrongful death and premises liability matters.
