Charles Thornton concentrates his practice in matters related to real estate including joint ventures, representing institutional providers of funds for real estate investment and development and representing developers of mixed use properties; and purchase and sale, financing and leasing transactions.
He also advises real estate companies on issues related to governance and, working with tax, corporate and ERISA counsel in the firm, the structure of investment vehicles and funds. Mr. Thornton helped to found the firm's San Francisco office and served as its first chair.
