A partner in the Boston office of Seyfarth Shaw LLP, Mr. Chappell has practiced for over thirty years in the areas of banking, bank regulatory, commercial, bond and vessel finance, loan workout and restructure, commercial real estate development and leasing, secured lending and commercial real estate lending. He currently represents numerous institutional banking clients in general bank representation, bank regulatory, commercial loan facilities, and has a well developed expertise in a broad range of transactions, including syndicated, industrial, commercial and construction financing, asset-based revolving loans and term loans, vessel and equipment finance, lines of credit, letters of credit, as well as issuance of revenue bonds, credit enhancements, “layered” financing projects and the like.

Mr. Chappell also has experience in representing lenders in troubled loan transactions, including workout, restructure and insolvency and in participation arrangements, sales of assets and buy and sell agreements. In addition, he represents several real estate developers in the acquisition, financing, permitting, construction, and sale or lease of property.
