Christopher P. Norton

Chris handles contentious litigation matters for Fortune 500 companies, including leading medical device manufacturers and pharmaceutical companies, as well as for other businesses and nonprofits. Clients rely on his ability to accurately evaluate the strengths and weaknesses of their cases, and to develop effective trial and dispute resolution strategies that can minimize their risks and deliver outcomes that meet their needs.

Chris has significant experience assembling teams of attorneys, experts, and corporate witnesses in high-profile state and national matters, including cases involving scores of jurisdictions across the country. He has managed all aspects of complex litigation — including motion practice, discovery and investigation, depositions, expert witness development, and trial preparation — and has drafted many settlements and other agreements.

In addition to providing representation in mass tort and product liability cases, Chris defends and prosecutes federal actions relating to intellectual property rights. His experience includes managing litigation and dispute resolution matters relating to copyrights, trademarks, defamation, licensing, and other contract rights for a variety of clients in the sports, business, and entertainment industry.

Chris also serves as California Counsel for the American Red Cross, and handles blood donation actions and related claims on the organization’s behalf.

Prior to joining the firm, Chris was an associate in the LA office of an international litigation and business law firm, where he represented many prominent pharmaceutical and medical device companies in cutting-edge litigation pertaining to orthopedic devices and other prescription products and medications.

While attending law school, Chris contributed articles to Law of Inertia, a music publication, and clerked for a legal services organization. He also served as president of the law school’s Student Welfare Association and as a member of the Student Board Association.
