Christopher W. Fowlkes is a partner in Barnes & Thornburg’s Minneapolis office and a member of the Litigation Department. With a focus on products liability and sophisticated commercial litigation matters, Mr. Fowlkes has a diverse litigation practice.

Mr. Fowlkes represents Global 500 companies in matters ranging from complex product liability litigation cases to multiparty commercial litigation matters. He also works with clients to plan strategic national defense strategies.

With regard to pattern litigation, Mr. Fowlkes tries cases in personal injury and property damage litigation arising out of the alleged negligence, defective design or manufacture, maintenance and/or installation of various products and services.

Mr. Fowlkes is a member of the Defense Research Institute, Leadership Counsel on Legal Diversity, Minnesota State Bar Association, Minnesota Association of Black Lawyers, Hennepin County Bar Association and Twin Cities Diversity in Practice.

In 1998, Mr. Fowlkes earned his J.D. from the University of Minnesota Law School. He earned his B.A. in 1995 from the University of Minnesota, where he was a member of the football team.

In addition to being admitted to practice in the state of Minnesota, Mr. Fowlkes is admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court for the District of Minnesota and the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan.
