Clifford Post
is a member of the firm’s Discovery Center. He has extensive experience in pre-trial discovery in complex litigation, including the representation of manufacturers of pharmaceutical and automotive products. He has developed particular expertise in managing cost-efficient electronic discovery in large-scale, multi-jurisdiction litigation. Mr. Post regularly leads document productions and reviews for the firm’s clients as a staff attorney II in the Discovery Center, where he has worked since 2002.
Representative Experience
Coordinating all aspects of discovery in defense of several manufacturers in nationwide products liability litigation, including drafting responses to document requests/interrogatories, developing document collection scope statements, drafting document retention analyses, identifying key custodians, collecting hard copy and electronic documents, reviewing documents for responsiveness, privilege and confidentiality, producing responsive documents, and providing “defensive needs” support to merits counsel.
Coordinating the collection of hard copy and electronic documents with client IT departments and outside vendors, and identified document review populations through document search and review.
Training and supervising document review teams (up to 60 attorneys) in pharmaceutical litigation and supervising their review activities to assure compliance with concurrent production deadlines in multiple proceedings throughout the country.
Assisting with preparation of discovery responses and coordinated document productions for an automotive manufacturer in multiple personal injury proceedings throughout the country.
Coordinated discovery for a Fortune 50 company for potential Foreign Corrupt Foreign Practices Act litigation.
Coordinating discovery for a client law firm involving a conflict of interest claim in connection with a merger.
Coordinating electronic analysis of voluminous paper document collection to identify duplicate documents for consistent identification of privileged and significant documents.
Preparing budgets, project proposals and status reports for clients concerning document collections, reviews and productions.
Litigation Technology Experience
As part of his experience managing and supervising document review projects, Mr. Post has utilized litigation support systems including Ringtail, CaseCentral, iConect, Introspect, Discovery Mining, Cataphora, Kroll’s Ontrack Inview, Summation, Clearwell, and Concordance.
