Cynthia L. Jackson

Cynthia is a member of Dentons' Litigation and Dispute Resolution practice group. She has over 35 years' experience working in the areas of California and US domestic as well as international employment counseling and litigation. In addition to handling the global coordination of human resources and personnel-related policies and initiatives, she defends companies C-suite individuals in high-visibility class actions and other high-stakes employment litigation.

What distinguishes Cynthia’s practice from that of many of her peers is her ability to provide clients with coordinated, California, US and global compliance “architecture,” including crafting global (i.e., not US-centric) codes of conduct that fit their geographic footprint, running cross-disciplinary and cross-border compliance audits, designing and providing global compliance training, setting up a data-privacy-compliant global whistleblower hotline, and ensuring that all aspects of the client's code of conduct, and all disciplinary rules thereunder, are implemented and enforced in compliance with local employment and privacy laws. Cynthia also advises clients on issues related to the creation and maintenance of global Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS), human rights in global supply chain management and obligations related to global HR security breaches.

Cynthia has been consistently recognized as a leader in her field by Chambers USA, Legal 500, Best Lawyers of America, Northern California Super Lawyers and America’s Leading Lawyers for Business. In 2015, Chambers USA commented that she “impresses with her broad employment practice, routinely handling class action litigation and international investigations for international clients…[S]he can synthesize information quickly and understand how it applies in different jurisdictions”. Both the Los Angeles Daily Journal and the San Francisco Daily Journal included her in their lists of "Top Women Litigators," describing her practice as “having a broad impact on the legal community, the nation and society.” And Cynthia was featured in Silicon Valley Business Journal's inaugural "Silicon Valley’s Women of Influence" issue.
