I have lived in the Pasadena area most of my life and continuously since 1995. I am a product of its culture. I believe that Pasadenans are proudly distinct from the rest of Los Angeles. We raise our families, we love the Rose Parade, we enjoy our leisure time. But mostly, we work for a living.

For the last 20 years, I have been blessed to work in the area of law that drew me to the profession: labor and employment law.

For most of those last 20 years, I have practiced law with large law firms in Los Angeles representing some of the largest companies in the world in state and federal courts and before state and federal government agencies.

I understand the legal labyrinth that is California labor and employment law. I know the in’s and out’s of the court system and litigation in Southern California. I know what works and what doesn’t. This is what I love to do.

I also have come to recognize the dignity that meaningful work bestows on each person. Your livelihood matters. And your work matters to me.

I received my Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Pepperdine University in Malibu and my Juris Doctorate from California Western School of Law in San Diego.

I have been licensed to practice law in California continuously since December 1, 1995 (California State Bar No. 178070). I am admitted to practice before all state and federal courts in California, including the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals. I am a member of the Los Angeles County Bar Association Labor & Employment Law Section, the American Bar Association, and the Pasadena Bar Association.

I am also admitted to practice law in the District of Columbia (inactive) and the United States District Court for the Northern District of Texas.

I am rated “AV-Preeminent” by Martindale-Hubbell. I have also been listed as a “Rising Star” by SuperLawyers for Los Angeles Magazine.
