Darrell E. Jeffers

Darrell Jeffers focuses his practice exclusively on Health Care. He represents hospitals, nursing homes and home care agencies in legislative, regulatory and contractual matters, with an emphasis on provider reimbursement, managed care, governance and certificate of need issues. Attorneys in the firm's Albany, NY Government Relations practice frequently call upon Darrell's unique and targeted skill set to assist health care clients with legislative solutions to their most complicated issues.

Prior to joining Wilson Elser, Darrell worked at the Healthcare Association of New York State (HANYS) and continues to be involved in drafting a significant portion of HANYS's legislation related to reimbursement and other issues, as well as in interpreting health care laws and regulations. He also served as director of the Council on Health Care Financing, established by the New York State Legislature, which drafted new hospital reimbursement legislation that ultimately was signed into law. Darrell began his career working on reimbursement policies at the New York State Department of Health.
