David is the head of the Tax Credit Finance group and is a leading authority on tax credit programs throughout the country. David is an experienced tax attorney who advises investors, community development entities, developers, syndicators, lenders and other businesses in connection with New Markets Tax Credit (NMTC) transactions, historic rehabilitation tax credit transactions and renewable energy tax credit transactions.
David uses his combination of tax and transactional experience to provide a creative, practical and efficient approach to structuring and closing tax credit transactions. David has particular expertise in state tax credits and regularly advises clients on transaction structures that are designed to facilitate the transfer of state credits or structures that combine federal and state tax credits. He is a frequent speaker on tax credit programs at conferences throughout the country.
In addition, David has a broad domestic and international tax background, which includes significant experience representing public companies, private equity funds and other businesses in connection with the structuring of acquisitions, dispositions and other investments.
